In the spring of 1910, my left eye, which had been left in a weak condition by an eruptive disease five years before, again, through annoyance and overwork, began to trouble me. The ailment became so serious that my sight was much impaired, and I could see only the outline of things but a short distance from me. My right eye could not be used on account of the strain on the left, so for several weeks I was unable to engage in any occupation in which the eyes had to be much used. When my eye began to trouble me, I witnessed a wonderful demonstration in Christian Science healing, and the thought came to me to turn to divine Truth for aid. I engaged the services of a practitioner, and slowly, but surely, my eye was brought to a normal state. After three weeks my eye was well, and I was realizing the power of spiritual understanding through Christian Science, in which comfort and peace are found as the fruits of Spirit.
