In order to determine whether any teaching is in conformity with the Bible, an understanding of the meaning of both is necessary. There are as many interpretations of the Bible as there are teachings, and it requires more than literal treatment to justify such dogmatic assertions as to a lack of harmony. The teaching of Christian Science when understood will be found to accord perfectly with the plan of salvation contained in the Bible. The proof is found in the improved concept of God and man's relationship to Him, and the result is the improved conditions associated with human experience, which are in the nature of a fulfilment of the saying of Paul to the Corinthians, "Now is the day of salvation," which Mrs. Eddy declares to mean "not that now men must prepare for a future-world salvation, or safety, but that now is the time in which to experience that salvation in spirit and in life" (Science and Health, p. 39).
