It is over seven years since I became interested in Christian Science, and for the many blessings it has brought into my life I wish to express my deep gratitude. I have been healed of a number of physical ailments, such as acute attacks of cold and catarrh, also of tubercular disease. While under treatment for the last named ill, the characteristic symptoms and swellings disappeared in less than a week. These healings have fully convinced me of the efficacy and healing power of divine Truth, and that Christian Science is a most practical religion.
The spiritual uplifting and regeneration is, however, more wonderful to me than the physical healing. It has helped me to a higher plane of thought, so that, in the words of Paul, "forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus." Mrs. Eddy's definition of church, as given in the Glossary of Science and Health, has always appealed to me. There we read that the church "is the structure of Truth and Love; whatever rests upon and proceeds from divine Principle" (p. 583). I now see that true worship consists in having the right concept and understanding of God.
Fear has been banished from my life, for I know that God "hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind."
