I wish to acknowledge the many blessings which I have...

I wish to acknowledge the many blessings which I have received in Christian Science. After many doctors had said that my case was incurable, I turned as a last resort to divine Truth and was healed of what was called "Bright's disease" in its worst form. I had also a form of paralysis and had been walking with crutches for six months, but after the first present treatment Christian Science I was able to lay them aside. I walked to the barn, free from pain, and have never used the crutches since. Many other ailments were overcome, such as severe headaches, which I had had as long as I can remember, also the tobacco habit, intemperance, and the use of profane language.

At one time I opposed Christian Science very bitterly; so much so, in fact, that I followed a practitioner out into the road and ridiculed it to her, but all this opposition to the truth was overcome after the first present treatment. I cannot find words to express my gratitude and admiration for our beloved Leader, Mrs. Eddy, who has given to the world so much comfort, and shown us how to make it a better world, as God means it to be. I had formed a habit of severely criticizing my neighbors, and it was hard to find good in any one save myself, but this also has been overcome by making the Bible and Science and Health my daily study.

From being a follower of atheistical teachings I am now a humble follower of the world's redeemer, and study his teachings as illumined by Christian Science. While I am very grateful for the physical healing, I find that the spiritual uplifting does the greater work. It means that knowledge of God which insures the peace that "passeth all understanding."—Will Sedwick, Lebanon, Ind.
