One of the causes of the success of Christian Science is that Christian Scientists are going about the world, never staying to abuse their neighbors or to waste their time in looking for faults in those neighbors, but in demonstrating practically the truth of the teaching in which they believe. The Christian Science movement contains innumerable thousands of cultivated and intelligent men and women, who would never stoop to the virulence of our critic, but whose effort is given to the struggle to overcome sickness and sin in themselves and for the world. In this way they are exerting an influence which no amount of violent misrepresentation is ever likely to affect.
