It is with a deep feeling of gratitude that I tell what Christian Science has done for me. Though not a sufferer myself, my one wish was to know why the Christ-healing had gone from the world, and how I could find it to help others, particularly one member of my family. Three years ago I heard of some one's being healed by Christian Science, and the text-book was lent to me. On reading the first sentence in the book, I knew I had found what I was looking for. In reading this wonderful book my vision was so illuminated that I found eye-glasses were no longer of any use to me; perplexing problems were all solved; my fears for the dear one vanished forever, and I had found a new heaven and new earth. I thank God that in my reading of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" I was awakened, and that I found the peace and the Love that passeth understanding. Some experiences which I had before hearing of Christian Science showed me plainly that ideas of Truth do without a doubt reach the receptive thought, and that they are powerful for good.

With one treatment in Christian Science I was instantaneously cured of severe headaches; and at another time, through absent treatment, of congested chest. One minute I could not speak, and the next I was perfectly well; in fact, I went at once into the city to pay the practitioner and thank her. I have also been able through the power of Truth, as declared by my sister, to get up and walk three miles, after falling off a wall and down some stone steps, and striking on the back of my head. For a few seconds a sense of pain suggested itself, but with a look up and away to divine Love, it vanished, and that night there was no mark visible of any accident. Shortly after coming into Science, I proved the power of right thought to change discord into harmony, and since then I have proved, it in innumerable ways. Through the teaching of Christian Science I have been able to bring health to others, and in one instance a knowledge of plenty instead of a sense of lack.

For all these benefits I am very thankful, and am trying to grow, so as to be a Scientist indeed,—a worthy follower of our Leader and a true disciple of Christ Jesus.
