Words are inadequate to express the great pleasure it affords me to be able to declare publicly my gratitude for the blessings which Christian Science has brought to my family and myself. After suffering for twenty-five years with various diseases, I finally found that four of the ills for which I had been treated during the last ten years of this period were steadily growing worse, and that I was unable to keep up any longer. I had reached man's extremity. I had taken almost every known medicine for these troubles and tried different climates, but to no avail. The physicians did all they could for me, but I continued to grow worse. Some of these diseases were pronounced incurable by physicians. I can assure the reader that I received the very best that materia medica could give me, as my grandfather was one of the foremost and best known doctors in this country. I was brought up among the prominent physicians in this city and the kindness these doctors bestowed upon me I shall never forget. I shall always be grateful for their efforts to help me, but the limit of their ability was finally reached, and it was then I turned to Christian Science and was healed.

Words fail to express how grateful I am for the deliverance from the physical suffering, but I am a great deal more grateful for an almost complete deliverance from one of the worst and most subtle enemies of mankind, and that is, temper. While this error is occasionally expressed on the outside, there lie hidden within jealousy, anger, hatred, pride, cruelty, selfisheness, and many other forms of sinful thoughts, and where such qualities abide there can be no real love, and no health or happiness. I wish to say that I am a thousand times more grateful for the blessings I have received since I began to know our dear heavenly Father aright, which knowledge I gained from the careful study of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy.

I also wish to take this opportunity to express my love and gratitude to our beloved Leader for the blessings which have come to me through her teachings and her untiring efforts to help mankind; also to all who have helped me to understand this great truth about God and His eternal, unchanging love and kindness.
