Words are inadequate to express my gratitude for what Christian Science has done for me. In August, 1909, I was taken up from my bed of pain by Christian Science, after having spent nearly four months in suffering, and the last six weeks under the constant care of a trained nurse. The night the practitioner was sent to me, I was utterly without hope of ever recovering and had been steadily growing worse from day to day. The next morning I was up and dressed, and since then I have steadily gained in strength and understanding. I had some days of discouragement, but have always risen out of them with renewed vigor and hope, and can now see that they were caused by my clinging to some old material belief.
Since my own healing in Science two of my loved ones have been helped and brought in also. I am thankful to God for my healing, and to Mrs. Eddy for showing us the way to Truth. I am also grateful to our Publishing Society for the literature, which is so great a help in my daily life.
