In September, 1908, my sister was healed from a number of afflictions, among which may be mentioned an organic trouble supposed to result from a nervous breakdown. Besides this she suffered from a spinal affection with which she had been continually burdened since she was three years of age. Her healing was wrought during a lecture on Christian Science, in which the truth of being was revealed to her, and from that moment she realized in her consciousness that she had touched the hem of Christ's garment and obtained a glimpse of heaven.

Even though a dear friend had mentioned Christian Science to me over fifteen years ago, I did not look into it until after my sister's healing, and the natural result was that I became very inquisitive regarding it. My own healing dates from June, 1909, and though according to physical or mortal sense I was considered to be in general good health, I was freed from the following ills through the knowledge gained from the reading of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy, viz.: torpid liver, a skin disease, "tobacco heart" and tobacco habit, false taste for liquor, eye trouble, continual annoyance for over eight years from a hand that had been frozen, a weak ankle, profanity, conceit, agnosticism, and more—since the truth is daily uncovering and destroying wrong thoughts.

For all the benefits and blessings received in Christian Science, I am truly thankful to God. I am also grateful to Mrs. Eddy, who discovered and explained to us the truth about God and man,—the truth which is helping me along the rugged way, so that I too have been enabled to draw sufficiently close to the Master to touch the hem of his garment and thus experience heaven here below.
