I feel it a duty to express my gratitude for what Christian Science...
I feel it a duty to express my gratitude for what Christian Science has done and is doing daily for me and my family. Through Christian Science my husband was healed over ten years ago of severe lung trouble, and he has been well of that dread disease, and working hard, ever since. Our two sons, now young men, look to Christian Science for their health. They were healed of measles when children, through Christian Science treatment. I was for years a slave to medicine, and practically an invalid with numerous diseases; but now, after five years' study of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy, and treatment at times from a practitioner, I enjoy better health and more freedom than for many years. I now know that evil or error is not power, and with my slight understanding of this most beautiful truth I can help myself in a very short time. Lately, I burned my hand severely, but I declared at once the truth, and shortly all the burning sensation had gone and the hand was not even red.
Besides the physical healing, I have found Christian Science applicable to financial affairs, and in some dark hours of seeming lack, by earnest study of the Bible and our text-book, the need has often been met in a way unlooked for by myself and husband. Daily I receive some inspiration that strengthens me to press on in this understanding of Truth. I can only thank God continually for sending to humanity our beloved Leader, Mrs. Eddy, to guide us into this healing truth. Words can never express my gratitude for the spiritual blessings received, and my effort shall be to gain more of meekness and love, to be obedient to God and faithful to Christian Science.
Mrs. Marie Williams, Lake Charles, La.
