Whatever one may think of the teachings of Mary Baker Eddy, there is no one but who must concede that she was one of the most remarkable women this country, or any other country, has produced. The growth of the organization of which she was the Founder is one of the remarkable happenings of the last fifty years, and it has given her a place in history at least as enduring as that held by Brahma, Confucius, Mohammed, or any of the other historical founders of religious cults.

In addition to her wonderful powers of organization, Mrs. Eddy was a woman of remarkable sweetness and purity of character, because of which she has been greatly admired and respected by thousands of others than her immediate followers.
