The words of the wise woman in II. Samuel, "Yet doth he [God] devise means, that his banished be not expelled from him," express what Christian Science teaching is to me. It is over three years since this beautiful exposition of truth raised me out of the deepest darkness and despair, and as my understanding of it grows clearer, my gratitude to the eternal Father for bringing me into the way of it goes out to Him more and more abundantly. Daily, too, my love and thanks flow out to Mrs. Eddy for that fidelity to the inner vision which has enabled her to restore to mankind the true meaning—in all its healing loveliness—of the one and only doctrine, the doctrine of Christ Jesus.
