The passing away of Mrs. Mary Baker Eddy brings to a close the earthly existence of one of the greatest women, if not the greatest woman, that has been known to history. Surrounded as it were by opposition on every side, and having had heaped upon her head calumny and ridicule, she kept steadily onward, until today the adherents of the Christian Science faith are to the million mark. We may not all agree as to the teachings of Mrs. Eddy, but all broad-minded people are willing to admit that hers was a pure, noble, and lofty life. We can say of Christian Scientists that they are pure, honest, and a happy people. The good that Mrs. Eddy has accomplished can never be estimated.
