Sincere gratitude for all the good that I have received...
Sincere gratitude for all the good that I have received through Christian Science prompts the writing of this testimony. I can truly say it would be impossible for me to tell all that it has done for me, spiritually and physically. Five years ago I was taken ill without a moment's warning. I lay down on the couch, thinking I had a malarial chill, and that was the last I remembered. During the night my condition seemed so serious that my son called a physician, who pronounced the attack acute lung trouble in its worst form, and said that my age was against me. The following morning he said I was so low that nothing more could be done for me.
At this time complications had also developed. My son knew that if I could speak I would not call upon materia medica, for my trust was in Christian Science. So he went in haste to get a practitioner, and she so promptly responded to his call that it gave him some courage. I knew nothing of her first visit, but the next day I recognized her. Within a few days I could raise myself in bed, and in two weeks I was up in a chair. Words are inadequate to express my thanks to God, also my gratitude to Mrs. Eddy.
Since then, I have been able many times in my own family to prove the power of Truth. I shall cite one instance. According to the physician, my son had three fistulas which were very serious and which required an operation. He was entirely cured through Christian Science.
