I cannot refrain from testifying as to the benefit I have received through Christian Science. I suffered greatly with asthma and rheumatism for years; had no rest day or night for many months, except through the use of opiates, and was unable to attend to my household duties. Doctors treated me constantly, but were unable to give me any permanent relief. The last physician I had finally admitted that he could do nothing for me, and advised me to try Christian Science. One Sunday morning I decided to follow his advice, and sent for a Christian Science practitioner. She could not come that day, but gave me absent treatment, which so relieved me that I fell asleep about eight o'clock that evening and slept for hours, the first refreshing sleep I had enjoyed for months. The next day I received treatment again, and in one week's time I was able to go to her office. This was about two years ago. I am now strong, able to do all my work, and am improving every day.

My daughter, eleven years old, had worn glasses for years, and could not see at all without them. The third Christian Science treatment enabled her to lay away her glasses, and she has never used them since, which was two years ago. Her sight is now perfect. I am truly grateful to God for the benefit of Christian Science.
