I feel it a great privilege to tell of a few of the blessings which I and my family have received in Christian Science. I have been healed of nervous trouble in its very worst form, among my many ills being what materia medica called a serious stomach disorder. There were many things I could not eat, as I was afraid of a return of the pain. I worried all the time, but these ills have all been overcome by divine Love, whose power was with me always, though I knew it not. Our daughter also was a nervous wreck. We tried many doctors, but with very little relief. Finally, an acquaintance asked us to try Christian Science, of which I had never before heard, but I was willing to try anything which would help our child. After a few treatments she was able to walk without a limp, and to go up hills with perfect ease. The many troubles from which she suffered were overcome through the truth that makes us free. My husband has been healed of a supposedly incurable kidney disease. It took a longer time to overcome his illness, as he said he had to be made all over spiritually. A skin disease in its very worst form was also healed, and many blessings have been ours by knowing that "divine Love always has met and always will meet every human need" (Science and Health, p. 494).
We have been able to help ourselves and to help others by knowing the truth, for which we are very thankful, and we cannot be grateful enough to God for showing Mrs. Eddy this healing truth.
Mrs. Emma H. Howald, Conway, S. C.
