The text-book of Christian Science, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy, claims that all things that are true were created by Mind, but Mrs. Eddy uses the word Mind as a synonym for God, and does not mean the so-called human mind. The statement that Christian Science teaches that man has gradually evolved from the lowest plane of existence is wholly untrue. In Christian Science man is declared to be the reflection, the image and likeness of God, now and at all times, past and future; that the Adam-man, the material expression, is a false conception of the real man, and that this conception must be changed before we see the real man, the child of God; but this true reflection of God is always there and always has been there, waiting for recognition and expression.
