It is with a heart full of gratitude and love that I wish to give this testimony—to tell what Christian Science has done for me. Three and a half years ago I sustained a serious injury of the ankle bone, and was at a hospital for thirteen weeks, after which time I was turned over to a physician for nervous diseases, under whose care I stayed six weeks. I also consulted three other physicians, and the last one stated that it was a case of tuberculosis of the bone; but he could do nothing for me. I was almost in despair when Christian Science found me, but after having treatment for five months I was well, and during the last month could again take up my work at the sewing-machine by which I make my living. I have also been healed of a severe attack of illness within a short time, and while under treatment a corn disappeared which for years had caused me much inconvenience, in spite of the remedies I applied.
I am indeed happy to have found Christian Science, and that the opportunity is thereby afforded me to learn English and study the text-book, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures." I am also grateful beyond words for all the other blessings which I have received through Christian Science, and my deep prayer is that through God's grace I may grow in the understanding of Truth. Next to God I thank our beloved Leader, Mrs. Eddy, for showing us the way to Truth.—Marie Schmidt, Berlin, Germany.
