I wish to tell of the healing of my child through the recognition of divine Love as the only power. When absent from home one day, in company with another boy, my child was riding on a bicycle, and was run into by a young man, sustaining severe injuries. A friend who is a Christian Scientist picked up my boy and immediately declared the truth for him. He also had the child repeat some statements for himself. A lady who saw the accident stopped her automobile and brought the child and my friend home, while the young man through whom it happened looked up a physician and sent him to the house. When I arrived at the house the physician was ready to leave. When I asked him what he had done he did not answer, but said he would be back next day. Twenty minutes after he left, my boy was carried down stairs and had dinner with us. Then he walked from the dining-room out on the grounds, and went for a drive. He slept as well that night as usual, and in the morning got up feeling perfectly well. He was dressed and out of doors when the physician came, who seemed quite alarmed, and told me that the thigh was seriously injured and that he had used strong silk to hold the wound together; that the boy should have remained in bed at least ten days.

I told the physician that the case had been treated by a Christian Scientist, and the boy was going about because he said he felt perfectly well. They physician returned after several days and removed the stitches. He was much surprised to find that perfect healing had taken place. I am indeed thankful to God, and to our beloved Leader, Mrs. Eddy, for my knowledge of Christian Science.
