I wish to express my gratitude for the benefits received...
I wish to express my gratitude for the benefits received through Christian Science. I was suffering from severe headaches, both physicians and oculists saying that the trouble came from my eyes. Two had treated me, and rendered the verdict that I must wear glasses to sew or read, and I did so for a few months with no benefit. I discarded them after taking Christian Science treatment, and have sewed steadily during the fourteen years since without any trouble from my eyes. I have received benefits from Christian Science in ways too numerous to mention, for which I am very thankful to God, and to Mrs. Eddy for giving us this truth.—Minnie J. Waycott, Peoria, Ill.
[Translated from the German.]
For seven months I suffered from twitching of the muscles and nervous spasms, and had to stay in bed for weeks at a time. As treatment by several physicians brought no healing, I tried to get relief by seeking a southern climate; but during my stay near the Lake of Garda I was confined to my bed most of the time. I there became acquainted with a lady who gave me some Christian Science literature, and told me that she had been healed of organic lung trouble through this Science. There was much in what I read that gave me hope and comfort, and upon the lady's advice I applied for treatment to a Christian Science practitioner in Berlin. In a week's time I was able to walk quite a distance, and ventured to go among people whom I had formerly avoided. In the course of another week the weakness of the heart and the great fear were almost overcome, and I was able to walk about four hours during the day without interruption, and a few days later even took a walk on a near-by mountain.
