Southport (Eng.) Guardian
To the world today Christian Science is represented by an ever-increasing body of people,—ordinary intelligent people, living peaceful, sober, and industrious lives, interfering with no one; not thrusting their religion on others, but affirming that Christian Science has brought to them a measure of health and happiness they knew not before, and ever willing to help their brother man to acquire the practical knowledge of God that has had such a beneficent influence on their own lives. For Christian Science is teaching people to understand that God is not a capricious, anthropomorphic lawgiver, but that, as Mrs. Eddy has written on page 2 of Science and Health, "He is unchanging wisdom and Love," that His law is a perfect law, and that as we comprehend this truth and frankly open our consciousness to it, so do we realize that this perfect law operates always for good, for harmony and happiness, and never for sin or misery or disease.
