For the blessings of Christian Science I feel that, like the prophet Isaiah, "I will mention the lovingkindnesses of the Lord, and the praises of the Lord, according to all that the Lord hath bestowed on us." Mere words cannot express my gratitude for Christian Science, but to live the life as taught by Jesus is the highest proof of discipleship. I would like to tell of the recent healing of my father, hoping his experience will be helpful to others of his age. He had not been strong for some time, and was suffering from heart and kidney disease, and belief in the law of old age, being seventy-six years old. This last sickness caused a great deal of fear, and after he had been confined to his bed about three weeks, the doctors said he was failing rapidly, so my mother sent for me.

On receiving the word of my father's serious condition I took the limited train that night from Reno, Nev., to Denver, Col. Not being able to read while en route, I kept on realizing the truth,—that God is man's Life, and how impossible it is for death to be in Life. On arriving in Denver I went directly to my father's home, and was met by mother, who took me to see him. I had to make a great effort to keep my thought fixed on God's perfect child, for my father had failed considerably since I last saw him; but he seemed to grow stronger from that time, and the next day he was still better. Within a week he was out sprinkling the lawn and flowers, and all of us rejoiced in knowing the truth that frees for my young sister and mother recognized the benefits received. None of them had ever tried Christian Science before, but they were receptive, and my sister is beginning to understand that the truth of being has changed her whole life. Since my return to my home, my father writes me that he is growing younger daily and is reading that dear book, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures;" that he can now understand the Bible with the spiritual light thrown upon it by Mrs. Eddy's interpretation.

This physical healing to me seems very wonderful, but the spiritual uplift into the real means much more. The trip to my old home not only healed my father and sister, but it overcame an old family separation, an error that had held us apart for years. Love melted it all into its native nothingness, for as our consciousness was flooded with Truth and Love it was annihilation to everything unlike God, there being no other power than God, good; and we were out of "chaos and old night" into the light of Love, which our dear Leader, Mrs. Eddy, is still reflecting as it is revealed to her clear consciousness.
