A year ago a lady called at my house and told me about Christian Science. I had been sick almost five years, and for nearly two years had to stay in bed. I had been operated on three times; the physicians, who had diagnosed my case as severe spinal trouble, gave up all hope and said that they could do no more for me. Four openings, one of them very deep, were discharging contantly, and I was continually in great pain from a bowel disorder, to which a bladder trouble was added. My practitioner, however, encouraged me, assuring me that with God nothing is impossible; and after being under treatment for six months I was delivered from all these ills. I can now attend to all my duties, and can go up and down three flights of stairs without any inconvenience. I study the Bible zealously and read the Herold.
For all these blessings I am infinitely thankful to God, also to Mrs. Eddy for her great discovery and that it has been made possible for us to understand this wonderful truth in the German language.
Anna Monch, Bautzen, Germany.
