Some seven years ago I became interested in Christian Science through an old-time friend of my husband, who urged us each time he called to try it, assuring us of help, I was growing worse under medical treatment, and finally I decided to try Christian Science and called on a practitioner. I never shall forget how kind and good she was to me, and how plain she made the teachings of the Bible. In the first treatment I was healed of chronic stomach and bowel trouble of years' standing. I was wearing glasses at the time, but they were laid aside. Under adverse cumstances I dropped the study of Christian Science, but when taken ill I could not get any benefit from medical treatment. I had taken a severe cold, which developed into lung trouble. I also had an organic disease of jawbone, and a dentist treated this trouble for more than a month. In 1907 I took treatment in this city in Christian Science and was completely healed of these conditions. With this healing came a clearer understanding of Christian Science: I was led to Principle, and since that time I have gained in all that is good. Our little boy has had nothing but Christian Science treatment. An acute attack of lung trouble was entirely destroyed in three days, and since coming here he has been healed of an enlarged gland. Under medical treatment this would have been a most painful experience, but with the help of a Christian Science practitioner he never lost a moment of play or of sleep.

For the many blessings which Christian Science has brought to me and mine I am most grateful. I, however, consider the greater blessing to be the spiritual understanding I have gained, which enables me to turn to God as the Father who giveth all good. May my life attest my sincerity and my love for the truth taught in Christian Science and expressed in the life and example of our beloved Leader, Mrs. Eddy.
