Ithaca (N. Y.) News
In his recent interesting address on "The Church and Mental Healing" the reverend critic is reported as pointing out as "a defect of Christian Science" that it does not recognize sin or evil. Such a statement does not make clear the teaching of Christian Science on this subject. Sin and evil of every kind are stern realities to human experience, but they can have no real or permanent existence without being embraced in the consciousness of God, and hence being infinite and eternal, in fact a part of Deity. All evil is in human thought, and will disappear into its native nothingness in proportion as mortals "put off the old man" and put on that Mind "which was also in Christ Jesus."
Christian Science proves man's dominion and the ever-present availability of true Christianity in the overcoming of all that is unlike God, who is infinite good.
