When Christian Science first came into my home, nineteen...

When Christian Science first came into my home, nineteen years ago, it found a miserable abode,—the entire family in sickness, sorrow, and poverty; but it has lifted us into health, happiness, and prosperity. I could fill volumes in telling what Truth has done for us, and still the half would not be told. Some of the diseases which Christian Science has driven out of my home were lung trouble, in the last stages; stomach and nervous trouble; a disease of the kidneys; an abnormal growth, etc. Nor could I name all the blessings we have received. My mother, an invalid from childhood, was restored to health by reading Science and Health. I was healed of an injury to the hip which but for Christian Science would have made me a cripple all my life. It has taken away our idols of materiality and given in exchange a God who is Love.

While the physical relief has been very great, yet it is as nothing when compared to the joy of the new life into which I have been born. Mortal lips can never tell all that this means to me. All I am or ever hope to be, I owe to Christian Science. Second only to the debt I owe to God, is the debt I owe Mrs. Eddy. Through years of toil and tireless love for all mankind,—friend and foe alike,—she has labored unselfishly for the good of all to waken a slumbering world, lost in the love of sin and self. God alone can reward her for her heroic sacrifices in bringing this truth to you and me. As the ranks of Christian Science move steadily forward, may the "God of all grace" give her peace.—Fannie Buck, Austin, Minn.
