I would like to express my gratitude for what Christian Science has done for me. About fifteen years ago I was afflicted with lameness, and not able to take a step without the aid of crutches. I was attended by different physicians for several months, also had a specialist, and my case was pronounced a serious form of paralytic trouble. I received no help from any of these doctors, but rather grew worse.

I was then advised by a friend who had been healed in Christian Science to try it, but like many others I kept putting it off until I found I had nothing else to look to. At length I consented to try it, although I had at that time very little faith in its efficacy. My healing was not instantaneous; on the contrary, it was rather a slow one. The practitioner visited me about three months, at the end of which time I was able to go from Jersey City to New York to attend services at a Christian Science church. I had laid aside one crutch, but still used the other to get about. On my return from church the other was laid aside. I had no further use for either of them. The practitioner called to see me about one month more (four months in all), and found that there was no need for further treatment. Since that time I have been in good health, for which I am very grateful to God, and also to Mrs. Eddy, who has given us this truth which not only heals us from sickness but uplifts us spiritually.
