This testimonial does not tell half the blessings received...
This testimonial does not tell half the blessings received in Christian Science, but I feel that we should acknowledge the divine goodness when we have been so wonderfully blessed. The reading of the testimonies of healing in the Sentinel has been the means of relieving me of a number of ailments.
It was in the latter part of January, 1908, that I first heard of Christian Science through a friend. My attention was called to it on account of a brother who had been given up by physicians, and indeed by all who knew him. A friend advised me to persuade him to try Christian Science, and this he did, and in about eight weeks he was able to do some light work. When he went to take his first treatment I asked him to bring me some literature from the reading-room. He did so, and in less than two weeks nearly all of my troubles had disappeared. The statements of truth contained in two Sentinels did the work, for that was all the literature I then had. I did not think of myself when I recommended Christian Science to my brother, but thanks be to God we have both been helped, and it certainly is one of the greatest blessings that has ever come to me. I had been a sufferer for twenty-eight years, but I now feel like a new person.
I cannot express my gratitude for both the physical and spiritual betterment which God has bestowed upon me. I am also very grateful to that dear one who has led us into an understanding of Truth.
