I wish to express my gratitude for Christian Science;...
I wish to express my gratitude for Christian Science; for what it has done and is doing for me every day. I came into Science not for the physical healing, but for the joy and peace it gives. I have a friend who is a Scientist, and it was through her life that I became interested. She was always so well. so kind and unselfish toward others, that I longed to know this truth, that I might live a better and more useful life.
I had been reading Science and Health, and attending the Christian Science services occasionally, for over a year, when illness came upon me and I suffered with severe pains in my back. I was unable to stand on my feet for any length of time, or to walk any distance. At times it seemed as though my entire body was in pain. I was treated through Christian Science, and at first the healing seemed slow, but after several weeks' treatment I was healed. I have since been healed of many ills, but aside from the physical healing Christian Science means everything to me. It helps me in my music and other studies, and in my home duties; it helps me to be kinder and more considerate of others.
I am thankful to God for my healing, and for the truth that has come to us through Mrs. Eddy.
