LETTERS TO OUR LEADER

New Haven, Conn., Oct. 11, 1909. Mrs. Mary Baker Eddy.

Dear Leader: — Divine guidance alone led to the enactment of the new by-law published in the Sentinel of Oct. 9, 1909. It meets at the proper time a need that many have recognized, and declares a basic law which is vital to true Science. It will point the way for those who are anxious for that unity which is indispensable, give new courage to the pure in heart, who see in those prominent in Science work the triumph of Truth, rather than personal greatness. To those who realize divine Love and the presence of the "Comforter," it reaffirms, "Lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world." May we all strive for that oneness with the Father which will demonstrate the unity of God's ideas, and so emulate your example.

The more I study your writings the more I realize the debt of gratitude I owe to you, the more I see how in time the world will appreciate your mission and its fulfilment.
