It is with sincere gratitude for the many blessings that have come to me through Christian Science, that I give this testimony. In the fall of 1907 I began to suffer with my left side, also my arm and throat. My throat seemed to be affected inside and somewhat swollen, and instead of getting better it grew worse, until some time in February, when the pain became so bad that I could hardly endure it. It was worse at night, and the pain and discomfort were so great that I could not rest or sleep. This condition lasted almost a week, until I was very weak and could scarcely sit up. My wife went to see a Christian Science practitioner in the afternoon, and asked her to treat me. I had not slept for three nights, but I slept all that night without once waking, and was surprised to find the next morning that the pain was all gone, and I had such a sense of peace and rest as I had never before experienced. While my throat was still somewhat sore, this soon went away, and I was healed of the disease in that one treatment.

Words cannot express any gratitude for what has been done for me. It was like coming out of darkness into light; out of pain into peace. I have been reading our text-book, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" ever since. I give thanks to God for this wonderful truth, and to Mrs. Eddy for making it plain to us that we may walk in the paths of peace.
