While away on a visit in the spring of 1908 my hand was quite severely injured by a fall. I was unable to obtain help where I was, and tried to treat myself in Christian Science, but at the end of twenty-four hours the hand and arm had become so swollen and painful that I came home and placed myself under the care of a practitioner. This was the third day after the accident and the conditions were such that there was great fear of blood poisoning. In a few hours the pain was very much relieved, and also the fear. After two weeks' treatment a silver of wood about a quarter of an inch long and the size of a lead pencil, was discharged from the wound with almost no pain at all. For this and for many other demonstrations of Truth's power that have been made by Christian Science, I am indeed very grateful.
