LETTERS TO OUR LEADER

Sydney, N.S.W., Australia, July 6, 1908.

Mrs. Mary B. G. Eddy, Chestnut Hill, Brookline, Mass.

Beloved Leader:—First Church of Christ, Scientist, Sydney, has just enjoyed the privilege, for the first time, of providing, in this field, public lectures by a member of the Board of Lectureship of The First Church of Christ, Scientist, Boston, Mass. Mr. Bicknell Young delivered his lectures, of which the Sydney press gave good reports, on the afternoon of Sunday, June 21, and the evening of Monday, June 29, to an audience on each occasion of twenty-five hundred, all of whom listened with rapt attention to his clear and simple statement of facts regarding Christian Science and its Founder. There is already abundant evidence of a wide-spread interest in Christian Science having been aroused, and of many misconceptions having been swept away. The weather upon the days of the lectures was perfect, the Southern Cross cast its glittering rays over the city as a symbol of the eternal light of Truth, and harmony was demonstrated in everything connected with the lecture work.
