When the price of our Sentinel was made made two dollars a year I asked myself, Must I do without it? But I did not need to, for I was presented with two dollars by one who loved Christian Science as I do, and it seemed to me that God had sent me this money to buy the bread of life. Then came the sweet thought, "Seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you." The Sentinel brings me wisdom to do the right thing at the right time, strength, health, and happiness. I ask myself, Would I give up my new way of thinking for the old way of fear, sickness, and sin? Never! Christian Science has made me all I am,—rejoicing ever; tired never. Now I can help others, where before I had to be helped myself. Christian Science opened up to me the Bible, which I loved above all other books. It showed me clearly what God is to me, and Christ Jesus now seems to teach me. Our beloved Leader, Mrs. Eddy, has made all clearer than I ever thought could come to me this side of heaven. So I cannot do without the Christian Science periodicals. What good instruction they give me on the subjects of moral obligation, or the over-coming of the world; then there are our beloved Leader's counsels and instructions.

Many say that Christian Science is only for the rich in money or book-learning but I know it is for all who will faithfully search God's Word. It is the truth that Christ Jesus taught. I have neither book-learning nor money, but I love the truth, and know that I, too, can work in the Master's vineyard. As we read in our Hymnal, "Truth comes alike to all." I know that it came to me bright as the morning star. I was sick in body and mind, but through my healing I could see the unseen a little, and I trusted, for I knew that if God had healed me, I, too, could do as Jesus taught. Now I have many demonstrations of Truth's power,—too many to number. By holding firmly to the truth about my son, he was healed. He had got mixed up with Hinduism, etc., while he was away from home, shifting for himself; but God sent him home to be healed. Now he does not want any other reading than the Bible and Science and Health. Only a mother knows what joy this gives me. Truth did it all. My prayer is that I may ever help to swell the stream of love and thankfulness for all that God has given us.
