I write this testimony with a heart full of love and gratitude to our Leader for giving us this grand book, Science and Health, from which we have gained an understanding of the ever-presence of God, an understanding whose results are always health and harmony. About three years ago, I was to sense badly burned on the face, hands, and right wrist, by gasoline flame. As soon as possible after this happened, I sent to a Christian Science practitioner for treatment. I did not ask her to come to me, but to my surprise and delight she came, and after treating me gave me the kind and encouraging words I so much needed. Through her understanding of the power of Truth I was spared all pain and suffering from what seemed to be very dreadful burns. The first night I had an uneasy feeling all night, accompanied by a fear of heart trouble, but after the second treatment all discomfort vanished, the healing commenced and went on rapidly. and in a very short time all manifestation of the trouble disappeared.

Prior to this experience I had been reading Science and Health, although I had not taken up the study with the Bible: but ever since that time the Bible and Science and Health have been my daily study, and they become dearer to me every day. I am very thankful to know that God forgives all our iniquities and heals all our diseases.
