About twelve years ago I was given up by materia medica, the doctors saying that they could do nothing more for me. I had been bedfast for four months when my physician said there was nothing more that medicine could do. I then told my wife that if she thought Christian Science would help, to send a practitioner to me, as I felt myself fast ebbing away. I had been afflicted with severe rheumatic trouble about thirty years, and each year it grew steadily worse; this time it seemed to have affected my heart. Christian Science treatment was given me, and the disease responded at once. In four weeks I was back at my work. I thought I was healed, and did not continue to study as I should have done, and the same trouble got hold of me again, about six years later, in an even more determined way than before. I sent for a practitioner, but the case did not yield after four weeks' treatment. I then changed to another practitioner, and was treated another four weeks, but seemingly received no benefit. I was almost hopeless when I made the third change, but the case responded at once, for in six days I was dismissed, healed, and have remained well ever since.

I have also been healed of many minor ailments. I am now a member of First Church of Christ, Scientist, of Denver, Col., and I know that it was the truth pointed out by our dear Leader, Mrs. Eddy, which healed me. I am thankful to God for the good I have received.
