About eleven years ago, through the physical healing of my husband, I became interested in Christian Science. I had always enjoyed good health, and after coming into Science several minor ailments disappeared, so that I have been almost perfectly free from physical discord. On one or two occasions physical trouble has been manifested, and in each instance it has been destroyed by Truth. One of these demonstrations was made about a year ago. While visiting in Chicago, I suffered from a severe cold, and being in the midst of an epidemic of such things, it seemed best to ask for help. I telephoned to a friend, asking her to begin treatment at once. The following evening I came home, and was disturbed that night by severe pain back of my left ear, and the next morning as early as possible I wired my friend regarding the distressing condition. In the course of a very few hours the pain ceased entirely, and I soon discovered that a large abscess had been destroyed. It was a perfect demonstration, made through absent treatment only, and was positive proof to me of the healing power of Christian Science.

Words are inadequate to express my gratitude for all that Christian Science has meant to me during these years. It has given me a knowledge of God and a sense of appreciation of spiritual things which I had never known. I am most grateful to God, and to our Leader, Mrs. Eddy, through whom this truth has been revealed for the benefit of all mankind.—Mrs. Katherine Heald, Canton, Ill.
