It is with much gratitude to the giver of every good and perfect gift that I send this long-delayed acknowledgment of what Truth has done for me and mine. I was delicate from childhood, not being able to attend school a whole year in succession. At the age of twenty-two I was married, and at the birth of our third child I found myself a total physical wreck. So weak was I that I could not walk two blocks without difficulty. I suffered from stomach trouble in its worst form, and lung trouble was supposed to be hereditary in my family. I felt that the dreaded disease had taken hold of me, and I hastened to Colorado. My improvement was rapid, and at the close of a year I prevailed upon my husband to take me back to my old home. In about seven months our fourth child was born, then my strength was all gone. For months I was treated by physicians, but grew no better.

I was convinced that there was no cure for me in medicine, and I turned to Christian Science. With two weeks' treatment I found myself well and strong. I cannot express my delight on realizing that I was every whit whole. Our second child, a little boy, was very delicate and of a most nervous temperament. He had treatment from the best physicians in our town and all pronounced his case a bad spinal trouble, which was evidenced by his appearance. We were advised to put him into a plaster jacket, but I turned to the Christian Science practitioner who had treated me, and put him under her care. In three months we could see a marked improvement, and he is now strong and erect, while his form is perfect. After all these proofs of God's power to heal, I continued to study "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy, and I was seized with a desire to follow its teachings, — to love my neighbor as myself; in short, I wanted to be good. The spiritual thought which I was learning from our text-book was sweet and comforting, far surpassing the old thought. I longed to be able to attend a Christian Science service, and divine Love opened the way.

My heart goes out in love and reverence to our dear Leader, who has labored so faithfully and unselfishly to point out to us the way to health and happiness.
