I wish to add my testimony to the healing power of Christian Science as taught by our Leader, Mrs. Eddy. The blessings received have been many, both in the spiritual and the so-called physical. One for which we feel especially grateful is the healing of our boy of a very aggravated form of nervous trouble. Finding that I did not obtain the desired results by treating him myself. I called a practitioner to help him. All the symptoms disappeared in a short time and have never returned, and he is now strong and perfectly well. At another time, when my little nephew of five was visiting at our house, he ran in front of an automobile and was knocked down, the wheel passing over his chest. A physician was driving the machine, and he carried the child in an unconscious condition upstairs to our rooms, and commenced making an examination of his injuries. I told the doctor I would care for the child, so he left, and I went to the telephone and called a Christian Science practitioner. The child had commenced crying, and was evidently in distress, but he was soon quietly sleeping, as the help was immediate. The practitioner called and gave one treatment, and when the boy wakened he went about his play as usual and never complained of the injury. I hope to show my gratitude to our dear Leader by living the love that her writings teach.
