I feel that the time has come when I ought to tell what Christian Science has done for me. I first became interested in it through the healing of my sister after she had been confined to her bed twenty months, and when the doctors had said there was no cure for her. This was eleven years ago, and I have never doubted from that day that Christian Science is the truth which sets us free, for I have proved it. I have never used drugs since, either internally or externally, and I have been healed many times by this truth. I am a member of First Church of Christ, Scientist, of Kinston, N. C., also of The Mother Church of Boston, Mass. My two children have never had any material remedies, and I have seen a great many ailments destroyed for them by the understanding of Truth as taught us by Mrs. Eddy.
Christian Science also taught me how to love our enemies and to forgive those who persecute us. My heart is full of gratitude to Mrs. Eddy for giving us this truth which destroys all the inharmonies of human experience and which leads us into the promised land, where God shall wipe away all tears from our eyes, to the land where there shall be "no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away."—Mrs. Emma R. Wade, Kinston, N. C.
