The
Christian Science text-book, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures," occupies an important place in the world, and it is safe to say that its influence and popularity are growing each day.
That
God is good and All-in-all, that He is the present and eternal Life of all that has life and being, that He loves and meets every need of His whole creation, that all things are safe in the divine Mind and Love, that in Him and to Him there is good and only good, and that He is always working everything together for the highest good to each and all, and consciously so for all who love and do good, is what all should wish to have true, and what every one in high moments of insight and love instinctively feels is true.
Not
long since, I heard this thought advanced in criticism of Christian Science: that if Mrs.

there is anything in prayer, there is everything; if it is well to pray in the morning and at night, as most Christians usually do, it must be infinitely better to pray all the day, as does the true Christian Scientist.

years ago, while studying at a large engineering college, one of my fellow-students passed much of his leisure time in making a telescope.
Christian Science is daily showing proof of its intensely practical nature by the healing of all forms of sickness, the overcoming of vice and vicious habits and appetites, and the bringing of comfort and happiness to thousands of homes and families.

In considering the charge of inconsistency made by our critic, it may be well to remember that Christian Scientists in their theory are probably no farther in advance of their practice than are the Christians of other denominations.
