Mrs. Eddy tells us in "Unity of Good" (p. 72): "Sorrow is the harbinger of joy. Mortal throes of anguish forward the birth of immortal being; but divine Science wipes away all tears." About three years ago, when I could see little more than sorrow and anguish, I was led into an atmosphere of Christian Science. After several months' treatment, I became interested in the study of that Science which "wipes away all tears." Though slow in grasping this truth, with "signs following," I rejoice in the fact of a mental horizon cleared; that fear has been supplanted by hope, darkness by sunshine, and life is a joy instead of an unsolvable problem. I am deeply grateful for a return to health, and for the glimpses of light which I gather along the pathway marked by Christian Science.
