In my desire to tell how much Christian Science has done for me, I hardly know where to begin. My first experience, eight years ago, was in the healing of an internal disease. For six months, twice a week regularly, I had been going to a doctor's office for treatment; but I apparently grew worse instead of better, so the time was set by the doctor for an operation, and I was told to make all preparation for the same. I could not reconcile myself to the thought of an operation, and instead of following the doctor's instructions I went to a friend who was a Christian Scientist, with an appeal for help.

I knew nothing about Christian Science except through hearsay, but I was willing to give it a trial, and we went from my friend's home to that of a practitioner. I took one treatment, and was healed. I shall never forget my feelings as I left the building after that treatment—I was a different mentality entirely. I felt positive that I was well and sound, and was so happy that I forgot all about the abscess. I gained twenty-five pounds in three months, and have been a grateful believer in this truth ever since.

Christian Science has changed my whole life, and everything I am and have I owe to its teachings. I have learned that all we need is to have enough faith to turn and accept the help that is and always has been ready for us. I have at different times been troubled with severe headaches, and whenever I have felt one coming on I have called up the practitioner and asked for help. With but one exception, as I remember, I have been healed instantaneously, and in that one exception it was only two hours before the sense of pain left me entirely. While each time I have known that I should receive the help asked for, yet each demonstration has brought recurring wonder and joy to me. Human thought cannot grasp the infinity of divine Love.
