I found Science and Health in my father's library in April, 1905, and have studied it ever since. I was then suffering severely from stomach and bowel trouble, etc., and had not been well for over seventeen years. I was constantly in the hands of the doctor, and had tried most known "cures." I was always tired and suffered from bad headaches. I took medicine continually, and one particular remedy I had taken daily for over two years, having been told by a leading physician it was impossible for me to do without it. Within six weeks of my beginning to read Science and Health, however, I gave up taking this medicine, and have never used it or any other material remedy since. To-day I am well and a marvel to all my friends, who looked upon me as a chronic invalid.

I am deeply grateful to Mrs. Eddy for writing Science and Health, as to me it has not only been a guide to health, but a "Key to the Scriptures" also; for whereas before I had it I never read the Bible or believed that any good could come from it if I did, I now study it daily and get great help and comfort from it.
