I wish to express my gratitude for the teachings of Christian Science...
I wish to express my gratitude for the teachings of Christian Science and the many helps and blessings received therefrom. My first experience was the healing of a severe attack of rheumatic trouble, from which I was suffering when Christian Science was presented to me. A lady told me of the Science, and offered to help me if I was willing to have treatments. I gladly accepted, for at that time I was unable to straighten my hands or fingers: also my limbs were badly swollen and very painful. I had tried every remedy that I heard of, and three doctors of St. Joseph. Mo.. put forth their best efforts to help me out of my suffering; but to no avail.
Two weeks' treatment in Christian Science healed me completely. This was about fifteen years ago, and I have never had a return of the disease since. I have also had since that time many proofs of God's love and care. I am deeply grateful to God for my healing, and for the better understanding I have gained of God and His relation to man. I truly thank and love our dear Leader for making it possible for us to have Science and Health and her other writings. I am also grateful to the Publishing Society for our Sentinel and Journal, and to all those who contribute thereto, as these periodicals are such a help to me and to all who read them.—Mrs. Rose Smith, Beloit, Kan.
