It is with a heart full of gratitude to God, and to our dear...

It is with a heart full of gratitude to God, and to our dear Leader, Mrs. Eddy, that I give my testimony to the manifold blessings I have received through Christian Science. In 1902 I was suffering from rheumatic, catarrhal, and stomach trouble. I went on crutches most of that year, and in November became so helpless that I could not use the crutches. I had the best doctors, who were very kind and did all in their power to help me. Finally morphine was the only remedy, and I was fast becoming addicted to its use. At this time my daughter, who had been healed in Christian Science, prevailed on me to try its treatment. I did so, but very reluctantly. I went to a practitioner in Omaha, took treatment, but was helpless all that winter. In the spring of 1903 we moved to Nebraska City, and I soon began to improve. In June, 1903, the demonstration was made. In August I attended Christian Science services in this city, wlaking up a long flight of stairs. Now I walk twelve blocks and climb the stairs. I am sixty-eight years of age, am busy all the time, and do light housework. I am a member of The First Church of Christ, Scientist, in Boston, also of the branch church in this city. I am glad I live in the age in which our dear Leader stands at the heavenly gate, showing us the way.

Mrs. Louisa Gillmore, Nebraska City, Neb.
