THE LECTURES

A large audience turned out last night [June 27] to listen to the lecture by Miss Mary Brookins of Minneapolis, Minn., on the subject of Christian Science, at the new Loewen Theater. The speaker was introduced by Hon. Charles Moore of this city, who said in part,—

This new creed has made remarkable progress in the past few years, and has attracted to it many of the brightest minds of the age. Whatever our religious opinions may be we should seek further enlightenment and welcome any investigation that may bring us good.
