OLD HOME WEEK

Under the auspices of the Boston "Old Home Week" Committee, on Wednesday afternoon, July 31, at four o'clock, an organ recital, to which the public were invited, was given in the vast auditorium of The Mother Church, by Mr. Albert F. Conant, assisted by Mrs. Helen A. Hunt, soloist. The church had been open throughout to the public during the day, and large numbers of visitors availed themselves of the opportunity to see it. The auditorium of the church was crowded long before the beginning of the recital, and hundreds were unable to find even standingroom. Many of the visitors were doubtless in a Christian Science church for the first time, while a goodly number were Christian Scientists from distant points. There were many expressions of the pleasure received from Mr. Conant's rendering of well-known selections on our splendid organ, the chime effects being especially pleasing. Mrs. Hunt's excellent singing of two solos was greatly appreciated by all who were present.
