In all the centuries that have intervened, it is doubtful...
Truth Seeker
In all the centuries that have intervened, it is doubtful if one single person has been prevented from believing on Jesus because of his refusal to cast himself down from the temple. He knew a better way to exemplify the power of God. The application of this incident to Christian Science is obvious. Christian Scientists believe that God is omnipotent, but that would not give them the right deliberately to put themselves in places of danger, as a dare or challenge to the Almighty. Christian Science teaches that God is an ever-present help in time of trouble, but not that one has the right purposely to place himself in such a position and then demand that God extricate him. Such action would instantly be recognized as improper even towards an earthly father. ...
Christian Science has healed and is healing the sick through a right understanding of the teachings of Jesus. ... No higher proof can be given than this.
