The realization that even the physical structure which...

The realization that even the physical structure which we call the body depends upon our understanding of the spiritual, came to me in a practical way during the building of Second Church of Christ, Scientist, of Minneapolis, Minn. As a member of the subscription committee I studied our Leader's definition of Church, on page 583 of Science and Health, until I understood in some degree the spiritual meaning of the "structure of Truth and Love," and found that in proportion as we dwell upon and reflect the thought that the abode of Truth is on a firm foundation, a change goes on in our body. My physical troubles gradually disappeared, until I was made anew. Then as the work went on with the new edifice of The Mother Church, this realization grew, and as I turned from self to infinite Truth for my every need my consciousness also was renewed, and thus was demonstrated the last half of that beautiful definition of Church. For this I am most grateful to God, and to our beloved Leader.
